McGavock: Carnton Plantation
Show Notes: Welcome to our new mini-series, a full history of the McGavock families and the homes they built/owned in Tennessee and Virginia. While researching haunted historical locations in Tennessee, Jackie found this family kept popping up in her research. This episode is our introduction on the McGavock family and their beautiful home the Carnton Plantation. Toni visited the family cemetery and the confederate soldier cemetery and took some photos that she thought were important for this episode. The McGavock’s lived during a war torn time where homes in this area were used as make-shift war hospitals and blood stains may not be the only thing lingering on this property. Who is the woman in black? And could the soldiers from a five hour bloody battle still be hanging around? Tune in now to hear what the girls discovered while researching the spooky location. A link to donate to the preservation of the Carnton will be added below.
Our next episode will be on the Battle of Franklin as a whole, and more about the family cemetery.
